Room 18 Waitangi Trip 2012
It w
It was a great day when Room 18 traveled to Waitangi. At Waitangi we were to learn about the people and the places that were important when the Treaty of Waitangi was signed. When we arrived we were welcomed with a powhiri and then we were split up into two groups. My group went with guide Jojo to see the longest waka in the world. After that we went to a temporary fishing hut, which was set up for the rugby world cup (which the All Blacks won). We ate some puha and it was nice. Then we walked up a monstrous hill to see the flag pole, the marae and Mr.and Mrs. Busby's house.
